HER EXCELLENCY PRINCESS OMOLOLA OYINLOLA OF OSUN STATE IN NIGERIA TOURS INGLIS HOUSE, March 2009
Princess Oyinlola is founder of the Women and Children Development Initiative Foundation (WOCDIF), a non-profit in Nigeria. WOCDIF provides services to patients with sickle cell, people living with HIV/AIDS and people with disabilities.
The Princess visited Inglis House to learn about services offered in the U.S. for people with disabilities. She toured the facility, spoke with residents and clients and learned about the community-based services Inglis offers.

2008 INGLIS AWARDS FOR CONTINUING EXCELLENCE
On Thursday, June 26, 2008, Inglis presented its Awards for Continuing Excellence (ACE) to five non-profits in the Philadelphia region that enhance the quality of life for people with physical disabilities. The Awards ceremony took place at Inglis House.
Each organization received a $20,000 award. Read more about the Inglis Awards for Continuing Excellence.

2007 September / INGLIS HOUSE RESIDENTS GO FOR THE GOLD AT
31st ANNUAL KEEN GAMES
The 31st Annual Keen Games took place September 15, 2007 at Inglis House. The event features Inglis House residents competing in athletic games such as wheelchair slalom, bean bag toss, shuffleboard and bowling to name a few. The highlight of the day was when resident Donna Duckenfield was named Most Courageous Athlete. Here, Recreation Technician Rachel Cohen (left) presents Donna with her award for demonstrating remarkable determination and courage during the past year.

INGLIS HOUSE RESIDENTS EXHIBIT ART AT MAIN LINE "ARTitude"

As part of the Main Line's First Friday event, entitled Main Line "ARTitude," Inglis House resident artists were invited to publicly exhibit their artwork at Bryn Mawr Trust Company. 2007 April / OVER 250 TURN OUT FOR 25TH ANNUAL INGLIS FIVE

The 25th Annual Inglis Five took place April 29, 2007, with more than
250 runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes participating. Lincoln Mortgage
Company was once again the lead sponsor of the event. All proceeds benefit
Inglis House residents.

Rich Brandon was the winner of the 25th Annual Inglis Five, with a time of 30:01.
Here, Rich crosses the finish line. Shanley Rassler was the female winner with

2007 April / INGLIS HOUSE HONORS VOLUNTEERS AT ANNUAL LUNCHEON

Inglis House hosted its annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon April 18, 2007,
honoring 200 volunteers. Assisting with the awards presentation and offering the keynote speech was ACTION NEWS feature reporter and anchor Lisa Thomas-Laury who told of her personal journey overcoming illness and the importance of volunteerism. Here, volunteer Irv Sharf (center) of is presented with the Annie Inglis Gold Coin by Lisa Thomas-Laury (left) and Inglis House Board member Kimberly White. The Annie Inglis Gold Coin memorializes the founder of the organization. Sharf received the honor for his unwavering dedication to Inglis House residents through his photography skills.

Jill Stone, who began her volunteer service at Inglis House in 1995, was
named Volunteer of the Year for assisting residents with artwork, coordinating
two public art exhbitions and serving on Inglis' fundraising committees.
2007 February / INGLIS HOUSE RESIDENTS HAVE AN A-MAY-ZING PARTY

February arrived with a blast of frigid temperatures, but inside Inglis House the
atmosphere was hot with casino games, entertainment and plenty of good times
at the annual A-May-Zing Party, held February 2. "A Night in Philadelphia" was the
theme of this year's party, hosted by the A-May-Zing Committee. Here, resident

INGLIS AWARDED COMCAST GRANT FOR DISABILITY AWARENESS PROGRAM IN PHILADELPHIA SCHOOLS

Inglis Foundation has received a $25,000 grant from Comcast Foundation to support a
diversity awareness program about people with physical disabilities for third grade Philadelphia public school students.
It's called "Discovering People on Wheels" and is a collaborative effort between Inglis and the School District of Philadelphia. The Program will incorporate the latest editions of the "Discovering People on Wheels" coloring book and Teachers' Resource Guide, published by Inglis since 1991.
