INGLIS FOUNDATION NAMES GAVIN KERR PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Gavin Kerr(Philadelphia, PA) – Inglis Foundation, a Delaware Valley nonprofit organization serving people with physical disabilities, has named Gavin Kerr President and Chief Executive Officer.  A seasoned healthcare executive, Mr. Kerr has a strong background in strategic planning, human resource management and clinical operations.  He resides in Wayne, PA.

“Gavin Kerr brings a wealth of experience to Inglis Foundation – as well as a very personal commitment to our mission,” said Luisa Rabe, Chair of the Inglis Board of Directors. “His appointment positions Inglis for a bright future.”

He joins Inglis from Sherbrooke Partners, a Boston-based health care and strategy consulting firm.  Before that, Mr. Kerr was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where he was responsible for leading the hospital’s health care operations with particular focus in implementing its strategic plan. This included working with front line caregivers to ensure a quality patient experience for children and their families while growing clinical programs, implementing an electronic medical record system and building new clinical and research facilities.

Prior to his tenure at CHOP, Mr. Kerr was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Mercy Health System across the Philadelphia region and Chairman of the Board of the Keystone Mercy Health Plan. He also spent six years in senior human resource roles at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

Mr. Kerr also brings valuable experience from outside the healthcare industry having served in a variety of leadership roles at PepsiCo and MONY Financial Services.  He has also served in a variety of community roles including Chairman of the Board of the Pennsylvania Center for Adapted Sports.

A Peace Corps volunteer, Mr. Kerr holds an AB in Economics from Colgate University and a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Mr. Kerr will begin working with Inglis during August and September while completing client obligations with Sherbrooke Partners, before joining Inglis full time on October 6, 2008.
