LCD (Legal Clinic for the Disabled, Inc)
LCD (Legal Clinic for the Disabled, Inc.) provides free, high quality legal representation to low-income people with physical disabilities in the Philadelphia region, to help them overcome legal obstacles that would otherwise affect their independence, health or quality of life. An ACE recipient in 2006, the organization has since expanded its staff attorneys from four to eight, leveraged resources to include three Medical Legal Partnerships where LCD attorneys work in concert with medical professionals and social workers to address concerns which impact health, and established three on-site legal clinics at area organizations serving people with disabilities.
